Strawberry Cream Cake

This sponge cake recipe, which is the foundation of the whole cake. Is absolutely fantastic! It makes the cake really moist and fluffy. The trick is to beat the egg yolks and the egg white separate. It makes such a difference, try it out!


Sponge cake

4 eggs

1 cup sugar

1,5 cup flour

1 tablespoon baking powder

Filling & Topping

Whipped cream

Thick vanilla custard

Fruit and berries


1 Beat one egg , 3 egg yolks and sugar to a fluffy mix.

2 Blend in flour and baking powder.

3 Beat 3 egg whites white and fluffy. Carefully stir it into the mix.

4 Put it in a round baking tin. Cook in the oven 175 degrees, for 20-30 minutes.

Let the cake cool down when finished. Slice it in half. Fill the cake with your favourite jam, fruit berries or a thick cream like chocolate or vanilla custard. Cover the whole cake with whipped cream and decorate with strawberries and blueberries.
