This is a marble cake but in Sweden it’s called tiger cake. Maybe because we live so far away from the tigers, calling it tiger cakes makes our kitchens a little bit more wild and adventurous.
Ingredients
4 eggs
2/3 cups sugar
200 gram butter
1/3 cup cream
3 teaspoons baking powder
1 cup flour
2 tablespoons cacao powder
1 teaspoon vanilla paste
Method
1 Beat eggs and sugar to a white and fluffy mix.
2 Stir in melted butter, cream, baking powder and flour.
3 Take 1/3 of the cake mix and stir in some cacao powder and vanilla paste into the rest of the mix.
4 First pour half of the vanilla mix into a cake tin, then the cacao mix and finish off with the rest of the vanilla mix. Take a fork and drag it through the cake to get the “tiger” lines.
5 Cook in oven 175 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
