There is nothing more yummy like a warm cardamom rich apple cake to have with your fika. And probably what most Swedes would have in late summer beginning of Autumn when the apple trees are filled with fresh fruit.
200 gram butter
3 dl sugar
1 dl milk
3 dl flour
2 tea spoons baking powder
1 table spoon cardomom
1 Beat sugar and egg fluffy and white.
2 Add melted butter, flour, baking powder, milk, cardamom and stir to a smooth mix.
3 Pore the mix in a baking tin and decorate with sliced apples on top and sprinkle with some cinnamon.
4 Cook in the oven 180 degrees for 30-40 minutes.
